Probably I have to fight against relegation next season: many bots are yoyoing between L4 and L5 multiple times so there is clear difference of bot levels and I'm surely not better than those yoyo bots.

If you ever feel like going yoyo between L4 and L5, you'd rather be 2nd in L5. League bonus is way higher than 8th or below L4. But yeah, like some people said, you should probably buy 1 very good player with an average wage (3k-4k; don't do it like I did, with a 9k wage player... he literally eats my money). Fire old players and the ones with low work ethic. Don't focus on talent, but try to sell the players you get with high work ethic and high talent (4 and above) and you'll get there fast.

More important, you should know how wages are calculated. It is based on the highest skill of the player, so don't overtrain a single skill. Go switching between all of the important ones for the player. In that way, you get a decent guy to play with any effort and money spent.

About bot players, don't worry about them. If you can beat a full bot L5 league, you can do it in L4 as well, because bots don't train.

Anyway, you already got an 8k arena, I guess you could start trying to get to L3 and fight for promotion to L2. I'm on my way to do that.

Cheers from Portugal!

Haha I haven't yet any proper trainers or academy and all players are "local village boys". So there is no fear that they would get one skill too high. Nobody will buy my current players.

Tough match with bot but +2 win on last 5 minutes gives some hope to survive. It's quite populated group with 4 human teams so most important is to be careful with lineup and avoid stupid losses.

Why don't you play sparrings? You do not earn 30k on each. For this money you could buy and keep some good players. Quickly expand the hall and hire trainers.
Do you choose at least match sponsors?

With match sponsors is ok. When I log in just once in a week and mostly on Saturday morning, it's not easy to find any matches. Bots don't play challenges and more active human teams typically have already their matches or next weeks busy with cup matches.

Nobody will buy you your players unless you have some friends playing this game and do the proper announcement. I already sold 2 or 3 very good young boys and got some cash for it. You gotta be lucky, as well, of course. ahah

About trainers and academy... yeah, you're right, but you know, you can easily make a guy grow by 2 or 3 points in a single skill in a single season. And that can be the necessary to triple its wage. Check my team, now. Last season I had one 9k player, one 3k player and a 700 player (the Croatian). Check it now... It's not like that, anymore.

Currently my biggest wages are 2,272 €/w(with Reflexes 9) and two next are barely over 1,000. So it's not yet time to be very worried. First results give me hope that I should stay here safely. Week ago I upgraded my arena after having my first million, so everything looks nice. After couple of seasons I have to read something about handball tactics
Calling some friends here just for buying couple of my worthless players for ridiculously high prices sounds like cheating to me. Currently it's already interesting to know how far I can reach with only "village boys" from non-academy.

When you will get a good junior (talent min. 4 and work ethic min. 17) just write about it. I am sure that you will get good money on transfer list.

Balthazor, calling friends is not cheating, if the idea is for them to play as well... I have a group of 4 or 5 friends who play this with me. And, anytime I get a very good player, I just ask them if they want it and they give me a little bit more money for it because they know it's worth it, like helikon said in this comment. If you announce those players, you probably get a good money for it, but with friends, things turn out to be easier.
