I had a friendly today that ended up at a 23-23 tie. The game log does not indicate that we even went to penalty shots though I figure it's probably just not in the log and actually happened since my goalie has shots. Either way, what are the rules for ties as is?
How will this work during the season for the purpose of league standings etc and how will it be dealt with in the THLC, Cups, among other things? Obviously for the GI system to work in this game, there can be no ties in such games that are meant to be 100% decisive.

I was more considered for how they were dealt with outside the league setting. Obviously giving each team one point is not going to advance the round of the cup (if there is one) for example. |

Cup games are processed (update of player/game stats, draw for next round) about 1 hour and 40 minutes after the games have started – this gives enough time for: normal playing time (2x30min), first overtime (2x5min), second overtime (2x5min) and penalty throws (10 min) + about 10 minutes for the game processing to start. |
Regular games can end in a draw with each team getting 1 point |

I see, so cup matches and the like can't actually end in a tie. They just continue the shootout until the game's decided.
Thanks for the info. |
