Does the fan shop yield money per week, or per game? Ive assumed per week for the following calculation
Looking at the math for it:
Type Cost Maintenance p/w Basic earnings
Basic shop 100.000 € 1.000 € 2.500 €
The basic net income is 1500, for an investment of 100k. It gets a little better in the top league, but lets calculate for someone in the middle of division 3-4. (Thats roughly a total +20% net profit. This will give +3000 income -1000 maint, for a net profit +2k
This gives a return of 2k for an initial investment of 100k, or 50 weeks to break even. One full year. While it might look nice to have the shop, I think most actually hope to make some money in the shop.
We need to wait for two years for the shop to have paid off at all! Given the general tendencies of games like this going into inflation (players getting more expensive, everyone having more money basically), we might still see an actual loss after two real years.
I am aware the upgraded shop gets better, but the times scales here are disturbing still. Its only really the top players of the highest divisions that can hope to take back the investment in a reasonable time frame. Woudnt it be reasonable increasing the income from the basic version of this facility a little? Or make it built at highest upgrade from the start, since the other versions are rather pointless? |

The return of the club shop is per week. And you should give it a try and calculate the ROI before buying one. Normally the seats / arena return your invested money much faster.... |

It wasnt meant for a comparison between them, Im just pointing out that the times it takes to earn back the money building it, so the comparison is largely irrelevant.
As for the math involved in a comparison *shrugs* I already did that. Truth be told, its a bloody slow process getting the money for seatbuilding back as well, but its not like there's much choice. For the ones with the biggest arena around (hence 100% friendlies on home grounds) its sort of a matter of half a year. Even more bleak for the rest. Numerous cup games will shift balance a bit, obviously.
I believe the time scales of things will be very discouraging to new players before long, when those starting early have already gotten off the ground. |
