I need a little help please....what are each position resposible for on both offense and defense?
Who are the main scorers, assist guys and so on.

Heck I don't like to quit anything I start so I might as well learn this stupid game and be the best at it. ( only joking on the stupid game part)

RTFM

trying to translate to football

Attack
Wingers -> outer receivers
LB / RB -> TEs
CB - > QB
P -> TOP SCORER

Defense
FD -> First Blocker / Preblocker
HD -> Kind of a Dline
LD -> MLB/Inner safety
OD -> Outer Safety / Cornerback

Goalie -> The defender of the goal itself

Helpful?

Are the pivots always the leading scorers? It seems to me that that's only true if you play a pivot centered offense/attack. Otherwise the pivot is just meant to screen for the other players.

I've looked at the statlines and the pivot is only very rarely the top scorer and often doesn't score at all. Most of the teams I looked up had a leading goal scorer that was normally the center/centerback or another back.

Yes the backs are usually the leading scorers as they shoot most among the other players. Usually each attack when it is not possible a combination to pivot/wings ends up with a shoot from a back .
