Why do you all rate Poland so low. After one weak tournament we'll be back for the medal fight. At least I hope so. But it's still too early for predictions, we don't who will miss the championships because of injuries.

Nobody is denying that Poland has a good team. But I doubt they will get past Denmark, and Serbia is after all, the home team. I really expect something from them.

But Serbia's strength is mostly in tall shooters Ilić and Vujin and line player Stojković who is best known for polish coach Bogdan Wenta, when he coachs Stojković also in Kielce. Also against Denmark we usually have good results - even at the last WC we lost only by 1 goal because of referee's mistake(once the ball after M.Lijewski's throw hit the bar then the ground just behind the goal line, then goalkeeper catched it, but referee said no goal). So I believe we can beat both teams. Danes won't surprise again - they're among the favourites which is always more difficult, and it would be huge task for Landin or M.Hansen to repeat so great tournament they played last year. But it's still too early for predicting who will win, without knowledge about injuries which will hit some teams for sure.

Arpad Sterbik of Spain and Slawomir Szmal of Poland are confirmed to be out of the competition.

Also, Ólafur Stefánsson of Iceland is probably not going to compete, although it is not confirmed.

I know about William Accambray and Michael Kraus to miss Euro for sure. In Poland we still hope for Szmal to be able to play at least in later phases. But Iceland without Olafur Stefansson... He's recovered recently, and again got injured?

No, he just got out of an injury. He decided to stay in Denmark with AG to get in top form. He'll be back for the Olympic Qualifications, unless something else goes wrong.

Interesting fact, this will be Iceland's first tournament without Stefánsson since 1993.

I've read he is out. But is he so important? Comparing to last WC Narcisse is back, so missing Accambray wouldn't be so huge loss(with Karabatić, Fernandez, Narcisse and possibly G.Gille).
